Philosophy

Our aim is to provide a warm caring atmosphere where each child can feel welcome and secure and diversity is recognised and accepted within centre life.
 
Of paramount importance is the provision of high quality care which we believe is the right of every child.
By providing a socially just program, stimulating experiences and positive interactions, all aspects of each child’s development is fostered in order to support each family’s efforts in raising their child to become a valuable and self sufficient member of society.

Underpinning the experiences within the centre is the fundamental belief that each child is unique, bringing to the learning environment an exclusive set of capabilities and pre dispositions. Our aim is to foster within each child an awareness and acceptance of others so that they attach positive feelings to the diversity of people. In turn each child/family will feel valued and respected.
 
Through our cross cultural, non biased program, our aim is to provide experiences which enable each child to learn and understand. In our centre, play is valued as an important part of the learning process and each child is encouraged to select their activities and move freely between play experiences.

Each child is encouraged to develop to their optimal potential. Desired outcomes include:

Trust and partnerships are promoted between the children, staff and parents. Program planning is regarded as a shared process and members of each child’s family are encouraged to participate according to their own needs and interests.
