YMCA Outside School Hours Care Service provide and plan for their very own unique Individual Program . With this in mind that their Curriculum decision making is aligned within the National Quality Framework and My time Our Place principles and practices for school age children.

Successful programmed activities provide an entertaining learning experience for the children whom are encouraged and supported to participate in relevant meaningful and engaging experiences throughout the program.

Done properly also provide an experience that enhances the Educators’ working environment.

The Educational Leader whom is responsible for delivering the program will therefore gather information, question, plan, act, reflect, and evaluate from a variety of Sources.

YMCA OSHC programs are planned to respond to the diverse knowledge, cultures, interests, and abilities of the children and to also include their families.

Children will learn life skills as a part of the program with the focus on child initiated and children’s choice of experiences.

Our programs are flexible and allows us to incorporate spontaneous and child initiated activities throughout which can be changed or added accordingly.

Parents can view the program at any time and can also request to view evaluations on their child or children.

We encourage all families to be actively involved in the program and to collaborate and share their ideas with us.

Coordinator and Educators will, through ongoing process of self-evaluation, monitor evaluate and review all programs.

Please see the below chart, this will give you a general idea of the steps that we have taken to show you how our prepare and program at YMCA The Gap OSHC.
