YMCA Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) provides engaging before and after school care for children up to 12 years old. From cooking and sports to music, art, and dance, our programs are designed to stimulate creativity and encourage development. With over 50 locations across Queensland, we partner with schools and P&Cs to offer convenient on-site care.

The Outside School Hours Care service is supported by the Y Queensland, a trusted not-for-profit organisation with more than 155 years of experience supporting families and children in Australia. We are proud to deliver quality care programs to help children grow in body, mind, and spirit.

YMCA before and after school care services are conveniently located on school grounds. We offer a diverse range of games and activities for your children to enjoy, a nutritious menu and a committed team of qualified and caring educators.

Our unique programs during school holidays help children learn about their world and develop a sense of self, all while having fun-filled moments and unforgettable experiences. Child Care Subsidy can be applied to all of our vacation care programs for eligible families.

OSHC PROGRAMS & ACTIVITIES

Our experienced OSHC educators create engaging and varied activities for every before and after school session, incorporating input from students, parents, and caregivers on programming, menus, incursions, and excursions. Balancing planned activities with free play, we empower children to choose what interests them, explore new experiences, and participate at their own pace. Whether joining group activities, reading quietly, chatting with friends, or simply relaxing, children are encouraged to take ownership of their OSHC experience in a comfortable, welcoming community.
