The team at the Y Rochedale South OSHC are committed to providing and maintaining a safe, fun and interactive environment where all children feel supported to play, learn and grow. All the educators at Rochedale South OSHC recognise the significant impact it makes to a child’s overall wellbeing and development when genuine relationships are made. The Y works within the seven quality areas set by the National Quality Framework to consistently provide a high quality standard of care.
Our service operates programs for both school aged and pre –prep children. Along with our regular school aged care program based on the ‘My Time Our Place’ Framework we also work in conjunction with the Rochedale South C&K to provide an after-kindy care program based on the ‘Early Years Learning Framework’.
The YMCA Rochedale South OSHC team consists of 11 staff members who are passionate about encouraging and supporting children to learn through play and stimulating learning environments. All educators hold a positive notice blue card as well as first aid and CPR qualifications. All educators have also either completed relevant studies or are currently enrolled. Our educators have a range of skills, knowledge and experience in the areas of working with children, sport, art, sustainability and more. Each of our educators bring different skills and knowledge to the team which creates a fun and nurturing environment for all children to feel safe at the service.
Our Coordinator, James has been at the service since June 2020 but working at the YMCA since 2014. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from the childcare industry. He’s committed to supporting his team of educators through providing resources and feedback. He is also passionate about connecting and communicating with children and parents to ensure we maintain collaborative partnerships with families.
Our service also has as strong leadership team of senior educators who work every day to provide children and families with consistency and ensure they always have a familiar face to turn too. The core quality our whole team shares is the enthusiasm to get involved in every aspect of OSHC and have fun with the children.
